There are very few vehicles that can match the performance or driving fun of a Jeep Wrangler off-road. The Wrangler was redesigned for the 2007 model year, when a four-door version - Wrangler Unlimited joined the lineup. The four-door version added practicality, offering more convenience, more cargo and rear seat space. For 2008, the Wrangler gets minor changes such as a standard tire-pressure monitor, remote startup, and a Sunrider soft top. The 2008 Jeep Wrangler and four-door Unlimited is available in Wrangler X, Sahara and Rubicon trim.

All Wranglers are powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine good for 202 horsepower (205 hp on the Unlimited), teamed with a standard six-speed manual and optional four speed automatic. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS are standard. Wranglers with 2-doors and Rubicon trims receive only four-wheel drive (4WD); Unlimited X and Unlimited Sahara trims get rear-wheel drive (2WD) or 4WD.
